DESCRIPTION

B022 - "ROTARY" Series is one Behrens's latest creation to tribute to the legendary Japanese car manufacturer Mazda’s 100th anniversary of their brand (1920-2020). From which Behrens has chosen their iconic “Rotary” engine “RX-Series” as their project concept this time. From which Behrens studied how the engine runs and took the motions of the engine rotors and turned them into display for time. By mean of such Behrens has made use of the twin rotors system and turned them into hours and minutesindicators while the unique ‘Rotary’ engine rotor running track has also allow them to create a unique time display. Constructed base on a “ETA” caliber 2824 Swiss automatic movement. From which a twinrotary system simulating the motion of the iconic Mazda’s Rotary engine to tell the time in ‘Hours’ and ‘Minutes’by the 3 pointers on each of the rotors. (Both rotors are installed with sufficient numbers of rubies for reducing friction and to increase efficiency.) The dial and the rotors do come with luminous to show time in the dark. The dial has been skeletonized so that the mechanism can be clearly seen.
